9/26/20 Online Q&A Lecture with Epidemic Prevention Experts
It has been more than eight months since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, and California has been under quarantine for more than half a year. The number of confirmed cases worldwide has exceeded 30 million, but there is still no sign of easing. I believe everyone has many questions about virus infection, prevention, vaccines, etc. The Alumni Association has specially invited Dr. Huang Zhongde, a well-known infectious disease doctor in the Los Angeles area, to host the "Online Q&A with Epidemic Prevention Experts" seminar from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on September 26 to teach everyone how to continue to prevent and protect themselves after the business is restarted. You are sincerely welcome to invite your relatives and friends to attend the Zoom lecture at that time.
Group purchase of medical masks made in Taiwan at the end of June 2020
First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission for assisting the overseas Chinese community in purchasing medical masks in bulk.
In order to serve alumni and overseas Chinese in Southern California, the National Taiwan University Alumni Association of Southern California acted as an agent to import medical masks made in Taiwan. The group purchase of 210,000 masks was completed in mid-July and the payment was remitted to the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Taiwan.
The masks arrived at the Port of Los Angeles on 9/1 and were distributed at the Los Angeles Overseas Chinese Cultural and Educational Center parking lot in the afternoon of 9/10.
